Bolsena is an enchanting town located in the northern area of Lazio, also known as Tuscia: a magical place made unique by the presence of its stunning lake. Easily accessible from Rome and from nearby Viterbo, the “City of the Popes”, Bolsena lies just a few kilometres from the border with Tuscany.
The welcoming and charming town is known not only for the lake that bears its name, but also for the picturesque alleys of its historic centre and the majestic Rocca Monaldeschi, built around 1100 by order of Pope Adrian IV as a defensive fortress against the attacks of Frederick Barbarossa.
Our Agriresort Le Porcine, located in the heart of Bolsena, is the ideal starting point to explore the beautiful surrounding hills. Among olive groves, vineyards, and hazelnut trees, you can immerse yourself in a land rich in Etruscan and Roman history and art, thanks to charming villages such as Tuscania, Montefiascone, and Civita di Bagnoregio.
